The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returns to Europe and Season 8's trip to the Italian capital is set to be bigger than ever before, with a double showdown on the streets of Rome. Witness 22 cars and drivers fight for the win on the unforgiving streets of Italy's historic heartland across two rounds, with twice the opportunity to make it count. Let the gladiatorial battle commence.
Jean-Eric Vergne (DS TECHEETAH) picked his moments perfectly to drive from fifth to victory in the opening race of the Rome E-Prix double-header in Season 7 around the streets of the EUR District, heading home Jaguar Racing pair Sam Bird and Mitch Evans - the British squad's first double podium.
Antonio Giovinazzi will take on the challenging streets of Rome for the first time in April, as he becomes the latest Italian racing hero to join Formula E. Driving for the DRAGON/PENSKE AUTOSPORT team, Giovinazzi made his debut this season in Diriyah, marking a full-time switch to all-electric street racing after sampling the series at the 2018 Marrakesh rookie test where he placed ahead of reigning champion Nyck de Vries. Don't miss out on supporting Giovinazzi in his home race on the 9 & 10 April 2022.
